Taylor Swift was the big winner of the night, taking home the award for Artist of the Year. I think this is a huge accomplishment for Taylor because she's a country singer and won against Adele, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, and Katy Perry. Taylor Swift also took home two other awards, one for Favorite Country Female Artist and one for Favorite Country Album. I think Taylor Swift deserves every award she won that night, because I think her songwriting, performance skills, and singing are just beyond what every other artist has done this year.

Katy Perry was honored with a surprise award achievement award for being the first female pop singer to have five number one singles off one album. I think Katy Perry has been so successful in her career that this award is just the start of great success to come.
There were many performances throughout the night but I think that the best was the finale by LMFAO. They really pumped up the party and just gave a fun filled performance. Justin Bieber, David Hasselhoff, and Keenan Cahill made appearances in LMFAO's performance which really got the crowd excited.
I think Adele deserved to win all 3 awards because she has such an amazing unique voice. Katy Perry also has her own style that a lot of people really enjoy. I watched the AMA’s this year and I thought that LMFAO’s final performance was very entertaining. They got people in the audience and the fans watching at home to dance and sing along with them. It was a great way to end the night.
